I strive to create a compassionate and authentic space where clients can explore their vulnerabilities, strengths, and deepest longings. It is my privilege to be a fierce advocate, cheerleader, and loving witness for folks as they navigate their paths to healing, self-discovery, and transformation.
My work centers on people who are seeking stronger connection to themselves, others, and the world around them. Many of my clients identify as highly sensitive, insightful, or neurodivergent, and they often come to therapy looking for support with a challenging life transition, feelings of worry, loneliness, or disconnection, or a desire for greater meaning and purpose in their lives.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to find peace and vitality in their relationships with themselves and others. I combine traditional talk therapy and experiential, embodied practices to support clients to navigate the complexities of relationship challenges, grief and loss, and difficult life passages. I specialize in relationships, recovering from trauma, and psychospiritual work.
I integrate a diverse set of modalities and philosophical influences in my practice, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Anchored Relational Therapy, and Feminist & Queer Theory. I have experience providing equine-assisted psychotherapy and nature-based psychotherapy and firmly believe that connection with animals and nature supports our wellbeing.
My professional journey has been informed by both personal experience and a deep commitment to mission-driven work. I began my career in social services, first as a family advocate in a domestic violence shelter, then as a legal services coordinator connecting folks experiencing family violence with volunteer attorneys. As a therapist, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including group private practice, nonprofit community mental health clinics, and in an intensive outpatient DBT program where I co-founded a Queer DBT program for folks from the LGBTQIA community. As a white, queer, cisgender woman I am aware of how the field of psychotherapy has historically not been a place of belonging for queer individuals, people of color, neurodivergent folks, and those from lower-income backgrounds. I am committed to making therapy more accessible, inclusive, and affirming.
I am a parent, a partner, a horse-lover, a Jane Austen groupie, a fantasy fiction fanatic. I love hiking, paddling, and quality time with my family and friends.
