I believe wildly in the power of empathic communication and being present with someone as your true, authentic self. I strive to offer this in the therapeutic space, and have been so honored to witness how this allows people to show up in this way outside of therapy for themselves and others.
I work from a client-centered approach, informed by humanistic, interpersonal, feminist, social justice, and trauma informed theories. This means that I work to create a space where you are in charge of your story and your healing and where all the beautiful, messy parts of you are allowed to be present and seek peace. I highly value the therapeutic relationship and my first goal, always, is in creating connection and safety. I work with adults who come in with a wide variety of experiences, though I work particularly well with people who want to gain a deep, compassionate understanding of themselves. I have specialized training and experience with people moving through grief and with people who identify within the Queer community, particularly gender diversity. As a Queer woman, I know the power of being seen for your full self and love to help people explore this part of themselves, seek confidence within it, and share their beauty with the world! When caring for myself you will find me reverently in nature or lost in a book.
