Everyone faces unique challenges that disrupt their ability to live their lives in a meaningful way, so it’s important to reach for an outstretched hand when we are in need of extra support. Since you are reading this, I am offering you my hand!
I provide Individual counseling via both telehealth and in-person for individuals ages 12 and older at Care Counseling. I most often work with individuals who experience difficulties with body image or self-esteem, gender dysphoria, trauma, disordered eating, anxiety, and more. I use an integrated approach of primarily feminist, existential, and person-centered therapy, and often pull from other lenses depending on someone’s individual story and needs.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Minnesota. I received my Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in May of 2021, and a Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in December 2017. I also conducted research on sexual violence between 2016 and 2018, and presented my findings at the 2018 National Women’s Conference in Madison WI.
I am well aware of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQA+, BIPOC, and disabled individuals and how difficult accessing care in the mental health field can be. I have ingrained the knowledge of the impact that discrimination and prejudice have on an individual’s ability to live, heal, and grow into my work as a therapist, and strive to create an environment that is accommodating for everyone.
I will work with you to develop attainable goals to meet your needs and serve as an advocate for you whenever I can. I look forward to meeting you!
