Are you feeling off, and are looking for validation? Do you feel like you’re misunderstood, unlovable, or not enough? Do you simply need someone to listen while you vent? I’d like to start our therapeutic relationship by asking, “What do you need from me?” Therapy can be a great space to develop a relationship that offers a safe space to begin to lay down the tiring burdens you carry every day for a bit and to put a voice to some of the thoughts you haven’t been able to speak elsewhere.
As a therapist, my goal is to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic space for you to simply be your genuine self and to feel heard, understood, and valued as you are. My therapeutic methods include CBT/DBT, strengths-based, trauma-informed therapy, and person-centered. I really like to figure out where you’re at so I can meet you there, and join you in finding what you need for the next step in whichever direction you are looking to move on your journey. I have a passion for self-esteem work in young adults and creating a trusting relationship with all of my clients by listening and providing authentic encouragement.
I grew up in Mora, Minnesota, and moved to the cities in 2013. Some of the many things I do in my free time are play sports and work out, read, game, craft, dance, or cuddle with my cat. I also love to express myself in quotes that demonstrate my values and leave you with the following:
“…And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
“There’s no one I’d rather be than me.” – Wreck-It Ralph
