Life can be really hard sometimes. This can look different for every person. For some people, the hardship in life may look like a dark night of the soul, where everything in your world seems grey and you feel numb all over. For others, it may come in the form of looking at the person they’ve loved deeply for years and feeling like a stranger or feeling powerless to be able to stop the growing feeling of disconnection. Sometimes it can come from a sense that something is just off in life, feeling lost and directionless, and don’t really know how you got to where you are or where to go now. Regardless of what you are experiencing, I provide a safe space where you can heal, process, and bring every part of yourself without judgment.
My goal is to help clients find their authentic selves, live from a place of intention and empowerment, and deepen their relationship with themselves and the ones they love. A core part of the work I do is to identify the parts of ourselves and our story that bring us shame and to meet those parts with compassion.
I graduated from Lipscomb University with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently under supervision while pursuing my LPCC licensure. My approach to therapy is eclectic; I am attachment-based and am greatly influenced by person-centered, systemic, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed therapies. I have specialized training in methods including Brainspotting and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and continue to explore and pursue new training as I grow as a therapist.
I love being outside, eating chocolate, and spending time with my husband and two kids. I am a huge reader (okay really more of an audiobook listener), a recovering people pleaser, a wannabe horseback rider, and continue to work on my own journey of self-discovery and self-compassion on a daily basis.
