Park Nicollet Foundation

History

The Park Nicollet Foundation was established in 1963 after originally starting out as a Methodist Hospital. After the need for services grew a group of hospital trustees, medical staff, women’s auxiliary members and community leaders came together to begin fundraising efforts. Within 10 years of fundraising the foundation was awarded $1.5 million dollars in grants for research, education, programs, and equipment for the hospital. Soon the Methodist Hospital merged with Park Nicollet Clinic and renamed the foundation to The Park Nicollet Foundation. When the merge happened the foundations mission expanded to serve community health needs.

The Park Nicollet Foundation uses philanthropy to enhance patient and families experiences, promote innovation and research, and research to continue to respond to the health care needs of the community.

Park Nicollet works closely with schools, nonprofits, and other community agencies as well as the local government to develop innovative solutions to community health issues.
