Overview of CARE Counseling Internship Program (CCIP)
Rooted in a practitioner-scholar model, CCIP is focused on training doctoral interns on effective integration of research to quality care. CARE believes strongly in the importance of also developing skills related to professional development, such as communication strategies, awareness of individual and cultural diversity, effectively utilizing supervision and consultation, as well as engaging in ethically minded practice. CARE strives to train effective leaders and values a professional journey that is growth-oriented toward long-term goals to support interns on their path to become a future psychologist.
