I believe that everybody can benefit from therapy. Having a safe place where you can process life events and emotions while being listened to without judgment, can be incredibly healing. I work with adults who are trying to overcome and understand feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, anger, and loss. My goal is to help you become more accepting of your own emotions and behaviors, while you work towards your individual goals. I value connection and authenticity, as both help to make therapy a positive experience. I hope to validate your needs and your feelings while working with you to develop skills that you will be able to use throughout life.
Children and adolescents can benefit from therapy as well. While working with children and adolescents I try to incorporate their hobbies and interests into sessions in order to foster a friendly and fun environment. Kids and teenagers experience stress related to school, sports, home, friends, etc. and they may not have the tools to work through their strong emotions. I want to help your child develop emotional intelligence and manage their feelings in healthy ways.
I have a BA degree in Psychology and Environmental Policy from Luther College. I am currently a student at the University of St. Thomas, where I will graduate with a Masters in Counseling Psychology.
