Hello! Seeking therapy takes courage and I am happy that you are here! From time to time, life throws us curveballs that can be difficult to manage on our own. I believe that everybody deserves an opportunity to work through these obstacles. As a therapist, I am passionate about providing a safe, validating, and warm space where I will walk alongside you to help overcome life’s challenges.
I view therapy as a joint experience where my knowledge and skills are combined with yours to develop and achieve personalized goals. I will adapt my person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal therapeutic approach to meet your unique needs. Due to the impact of contextual factors on our cultural identities, I am committed to recognizing how systemic and societal pressures influence the story that you bring into the therapy room. I enjoy collaborating with children, adolescents, adults, and families to work through anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, emotional regulation, impulsive behavior, interpersonal conflict, and trauma.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am currently a graduate student at the University of St. Thomas where I will be graduating with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. In my free time I enjoy walking my dog and exploring the many restaurants that the Twin Cities have to offer.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
