Hi, I’m Ginny, and I use she/they pronouns. As a therapist, my goal is to support you in identifying your values and hopes for healing and growth. I believe in building a relationship where you feel heard and supported. My values include being curious, caring, and transparent with you to create a safe place to explore your past, look toward your future, and anything in between. I hope to help you understand and connect with your feelings, thoughts, and body. Using a non-directive approach, I understand that you are the expert on your life, and your needs guide our sessions. I aim to be open to feedback and willing to learn in order to best support you.
My therapy practice is informed by attachment theory, feminist theory, and anti-oppressive practice. I aim to be trauma-informed, fat-friendly/body-neutral, sex-positive, and welcoming of neurodiversity and all abilities. I want to honor the complexity of your life, identities, and cultural expressions. My approach is relational and incorporates aspects of narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and somatic therapies. As a clinician, I have experience working with adolescents and adults who experience anxiety/depression, suicidal ideation, grief, navigating identity concerns, and relationship challenges. I enjoy working with queer/trans folks exploring their gender and/or sexuality, people struggling with grief, and people navigating diagnoses of a terminal illness.
Outside of work, I spend time with my loved ones, foster kittens, and admire my perfect cat, Ciabatta. I enjoy good food and good naps, trying to keep plants alive, slow outdoor walks with my dog, Crouton, and making (and eating) desserts.
