Hey there, I am so excited to meet you! I am here to meet you where you are at and provide a space where you can grow and explore your various identities. I strive to create a non-judgmental, open space where everyone can feel comfortable to be their true selves and share their stories. With that, I believe in establishing an environment rooted in authenticity, empowerment, trust, and empathy.
I specialize in working with children and adolescents through individual, family, and group therapy. I have experience working with both children and adolescents in various levels of care who were experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, emotional and behavioral concerns, trauma, and difficulties with school. I utilize a person-centered and strengths-based approach in therapy, that is supported by mindfulness based techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
I received my bachelors degrees in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and am in the process of completing my doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at Augsburg University. Being that I am still a student, I am committed to continued education and advocacy efforts. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 3 dogs, playing my violin (in an orchestra), and doing various home projects.
