Throughout life, we accumulate experiences that shape the views we hold of ourselves and of the world around us. Some of the hardest things we may face in life can drastically alter those views and change the way we function in our world. We can become stuck in negative conflict cycles with our partner, or plagued by anxiety or depression. We long to get back to normal.
Just as a plant thrives when given the right environment, so can you. Through a blend of attachment, mindfulness, and trauma-based therapies I support my clients in identifying and removing the blocks to their growth. While I enjoy working with many different clients, I specialize in working with couples and with individuals navigating trauma. I have undergone specialty training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Brainspotting to best serve my clients.
I graduated from Florida State University with a Master of Social Work and have a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent the first several years of my career as an integrated mental health professional in an oncology hospital working with patients and their loved ones as they underwent cancer treatment. Currently, I am licensed to provide therapy in both Minnesota and Florida and am able to accept clients from either state.
My family recently relocated from Florida, and we are very excited to explore what this great state has to offer. When I’m not at CARE, I am likely exploring the food and coffee scene in the cities or enjoying the outdoors with my wife and our two little kids.
