There are many challenges in life and talking to someone about these challenges can be incredibly healing. Whether you are struggling with painful emotions, challenging relationships, or significant life events, we can work together to explore and identify what you need to achieve your personal goals and improve your overall quality of life. You are the expert on yourself and I see myself as a guide to help you live a fuller life, increase self-acceptance and self-compassion, and become more authentic with others in your life.
In therapy, I like to create a safe, supportive environment for people to process and explore their experiences and emotions. It is important to me that all individuals feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and I come from a place of cultural humility when doing so. I want to hear about your unique experiences and what they mean to you. My experience includes working with adults struggling with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, gender and sexuality challenges, substance abuse, and cultural adjustment. I have also worked with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
I completed my masters and doctoral degree at the University of Saint Thomas and am a Licensed Psychologist (LP). In therapy, I like to focus on people’s unique strengths and help them live out their values in their day to day experiences. I believe that all people are resilient and when we take time to process challenging experiences and emotions, we can persevere.
