Challenges in life can often leave us feeling uncomfortably overwhelmed, unsettled, and disconnected from ourselves and the people around us. The stress and frustration that often times accompanies relationships with our family, friends, work, and community can be complex and difficult to maneuver. Emotional strain can limit our capacity to fully experience love, fulfillment, happiness, growth and decrease our overall health and well-being. I see value and truth in perspective, and believe authentic connection and curiosity are the key components to a positive therapeutic experience. I strive to create a positive environment that is based on safety and respect, as a way to facilitate openness, acceptance, and vulnerability. My ultimate goal as a therapist is to help individuals and couples develop skills needed to lead healthier, more meaningful lives.
I enjoy working with adults and couples of all backgrounds and communities with a variety of concerns regarding relationships, anxiety, stress, guilt and shame, depression, men’s issues, trauma, grief, and adjustment to life transitions. As a military veteran, I am especially passionate about assisting military veterans, service members and their families navigate difficulties specific to their unique experiences.
I believe the context in which we see and understand the world around us is shaped by our experiences with work, family, friends, and our communities. I take a collaborative, individualized approach to aid clients in identifying their personal value and strengths.
