I’m Christina and I’m so glad you found CARE Counseling.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”- Maya Angelou.
We all have a story. Your story matters. Your child’s story matters.
At CARE Counseling, I create a safe space for children, adolescents, adults, and families to feel heard, validated, and encouraged. I would love the opportunity to help you or your family live a happier, healthier, and more balanced life.
Working with Children/Adolescents: I am passionate about working with children and adolescents facing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties. I use techniques including play therapy, brain talk therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy that allow children to tell their stories and enable them to achieve their highest and happiest potentials.
Working with Adults/Families: Life is complicated. I provide tools and strategies to help individuals and families navigate challenges that are preventing them from living their best lives. I aim to help people increase their sense of belonging and feel more connected to themselves, others, and the world around them.
I grew up in Iowa and have called Minneapolis home for the last eight years. I’ve loved exploring all this city has to offer—and creating meaningful, supportive connections with the people here. I earned my undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Child, Adult, and Family Services and my Master’s Degree from Adler Graduate School in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am under supervision while working towards clinical licensure. I am proud to be known for a deeply empathetic approach to therapy, and I would be honored if you trusted me with your story.
